Sweeps = California Lesbians & Upper East Side Threeways

Looky here. What is this? Ms Claire Bennett - the girl with miraculous powers of regeneration - appears to be going through her totally cliched "experimental phase" in college. Everyone's fave cheerleader from the former-hit show Heroes - is going to lock lips with a girl in next week's episode. And the powers that be at NBC have been flashing this photo around to whoever will post it on the interwebs. All in the hopes of luring some viewers back. I am sorry - even a fleeting lesbian storyline isn't gonna bring me back.

I am more interested with who Claire (aka Haydn Panetierre) is making out with ......Do you recognise her? That is none other than Madeleine Zima - originally from the The Nanny - but more recently as the underage girl who punched David Duchovny in the face while f*cking him (in Californication.... probably not in real life).

Can you say cheap stunt? You ain't seen nothing yet friends. The CW has just blown that little faux-lesbian stunt out of the water...

On the Upper East Side, Gossip Girl has some shocking! Scandalous! Titillating! news to share. According to EW.com, the November 9th episode will feature a little menage a trois action. No definitive word on who the lucky threesome will be..... but apparently it is 3 "major" characters.

Okay..... so Olivia (Hilary Duff) is not gonna happen. And I really can't see bland Dan getting wild in any way shape or form. And Serena & Georgina = mortal enemies (which would make it super hot, but Michelle Trachtenberg is on another show so would she just f*ck and run?)

My money is on Chuck Bass. Probably Chuck-Blair-Josh. Chase Crawford (Nate) is be too scared his raging hard on for ex-roommate Ed Westwick would be seen by everyone to allow the writers to put him in a bed with Chuck and Blair. I actually wish it was a Little J/Chuck/Blair situation.... but considering there was that whole mauling of innocent, vulnerable Jenny Humphrey by the big bad Chuck Bass in the pilot.... I don't think that is gonna happen.

Oh did I mentions sweeps is coming up? Ugh. Cheap tricks and lame stunts do not make a show good.

Chuck Bass Would not Approve!

You know that I have a deep and shameful lust for Ed Westwick....... I know, I know. There is just something about him. Sadly, his status as my not so secret shame-f*ck is perilously close to being ripped away from him after I saw these images of him with his new "body-art".

Sigh.

I like tattoos. I have a number myself. I think they are generally kinda hawt. But these?

Again I say sigh.

I actually don't mind the pin up girl. A little tacky to have boobies (cause if it is a pin up girl, it is boobies or tits, not breasts) on your arm forever, but whatev's. It doesn't really bother me. What I do have a problem with is that right above the boobies it says "This is a pin up girl" What the what? Followed by a side of WTF? Is that an attempt to be witty? Because, I have one word for you Eddie, and that word is FAIL!

I honestly have no words for the other one. A large feather? Um Okay. It is a good thing that he is on a hit TV show, as he will be able to afford the laser treatments to have that bad-boy removed when he wakes up and realises that he has a massive tattoo of a f*cking feather on his arm.

But, while searching for the hideous images above, I came across these adorable pics of a slightly more chiseled Ed in a kilt. I wonder if he is wearing that kilt in the traditional manner..... commando?

Chuck Bass would most definitely approve of that!

Chack Bass is going Gay?

Instead of giving an actual storyline to their openly gay character - Eric van der Woodsen - the Powers at the CW have decided instead to make Chuck Bass (my shamef*ck Ed Westwick) gay for Blair.



Apparently in an upcoming episode of the CW's guiltiest of pleasures, Chuck Bass will make out with a boy - he seduces the boy in question (Neal Bledsoe pictured below on the right) in an effort to ensure that Blair is granted the honor of delivering the freshman speech at NYU or something lame like that. To be honest, I really don't care why Charles is kissing a boy (and liking it?), I just hope it is at least halfway hawt.

It probably won't be. It will be chaste and there will be no tongue or passion. A girl can dream right?

Here are a few shots of some of the cast in yet more formal attire..... Question: how does "wrong side of the bridge Vanessa" afford a different ball gown every week? Hmph.

PS: I have to say that I love that they cast Gina Torres (from Angel and Firefly) and Vanessa's mom. Maybe she will make Vanessa a little less vanilla? Here's hoping! Only a few more weeks until GG is back baby!

Hilary Duff heading to the Upper East Side

Lizzie McGuire is joining the cast of Gossip Girl this fall - one of my fave guilty pleasures. Debuting in October for a multi-episode arc, Hilary will play a movie star who in an attempt to have a normal college experience, ends up room mates with Vanessa (Jessica Szhor). I am expecting some form of dramarama to ensue

Hmmmm. This could be good. But with the whole Georgina Sparks cliffhanger at the end of last season, does Gossip Girl really need another chick in the mix - even if it is only for a few episodes. It would be nice to see some more testosterone on the show - unless it means less screen time for my dirrty man, Ed. Anything that takes away screen time from Mr Chuck Bass is bad.

With Hilary joining the cast the possibility of a Partridge Family style musical extravaganza increases even more. Leighton Meester (Blair) has an album coming out in the fall, Ed Westwick is in a Punk Band called The Dirty Youth and even Little J (Taylor Momsen) is showing her versatility as a performer with her band The Pretty Reckless opening for Aussie group The Veronicas this summer. Week In Review - June 28th

What a long strange week it was in the world.

Hollywierd lost 3 greats

Michael Jackson - the King of Pop - is dead yo! I know right? Apparently he broke Twitter for a bit.

Just hours earlier Farrah Fawcett lost a long and public battle with Cancer. Sadly her loss was completely overshadowed by the dramarama of MJ.

And only one day earlier, Ed McMahon, the sidekick to end all sidekicks passed.

And just now some random post on Brit-Brit's Twitter about her passing - it is now gone, but I saw it I swear. Methinks some hackage was afoot! **Update: Hackage ws afoot** Geesh people, I don't think the world could take another celebrity death this week

Even though it sucks balls, Transformers has huge opening weekend.

Despite generally shitteous reviews, Transformers 2 - Revenge of the Fallen is set to have a massive opening weekend of around $110 million, bringing it's domestic gross to over $200 million. I have yet to decide whether I will see it. Lots of other good movies out right now and this is not high on my list of must sees. And the whole Meagan Fox thing - I just don't get it. She is the white-trash Angelina, trying so hard to be taken seriously, but WTF has she been in? A TV show with Kelly Ripa & Faith Ford? And what?

I kinda respect the fact she says what she thinks, but most of the time what comes out of her mouth makes me throw up in my mouth just a little bit. If I get bored on my staycation, I may go. But right now I am thinkin' - meh. Redeeming quality of the movie is the sexy as hell Josh Duhamel. Fergie is a damn lucky woman.

Elisabeth's Plagiarism Hassles?

I never thought I would write about Elisabeth Hasselbeck from The View. I find her most annoying and honestly think that she is one of the most narrow-minded, uninformed Conservative puppets out there. Elisabeth who suffers from Celiac Disease is being sued by a Massachusetts woman for copy right infringement over claims that Hasselbeck plagiarised her ideas for the recently released "The G-Free Diet - A Gluten Free Survival Guide" from a book she had sent to Elisabeth 13 months earlier.

I won't start on Elisabeth's blatant attempt to continue to capitalise on her Survivor stint because - ugh. What is actually most amusing to me is who the lawyer for Susan Hassett cc's on the letter sent to Elisabeth advising her of the intent to sue. Oprah? Dr Oz? WTF? As to the merits of the law suit itself. I really hate to say this, I so wanted this to be true. I was looking forward to her getting taken down a peg or tow. Sadly though, although there are some similarities in the 2 books, but shouldn't there be? I mean Elisabeth is definitely not reinventing the wheel on coping with Celiac - most books on the subject should contain very similar information shouldn't they? How many different symptoms, restaurant do's and don'ts and shopping ideas can there be?

Sadly, I think this case will get tossed out on it's ear. :(

Chuck Bass makes me feel dirrrty (& I love it so)

I don't know what it is about him. Maybe it is the sexy British accent? Or the generally impeccable tailoring? Or the idea that he may treat you as poorly as Chuck Bass treats all his conquests? Maybe it is the fact he is in a band? Or maybe it is the confluence of all these things that makes me lurve Ed Westwick. Who turned 23 over the weekend. Ugh. I am a cougar.

He celebrated in NYC with girlfriend Jessica Szhor by hitting up Lucky Strikes Bowling lanes with some friends. Much birthday lurve goes out to Mr Westwick..... he is a dirrty dirrty man (who loves displaying his chest hair) and I love him so.

My Little Runaways

Here are a few images of Kristen Stewart & Dakota Fanning as they spent the weekend working on their upcoming movie - the biopic The Runaways. As I have said before, I am very excited to see this movie in which Kristen will tackle the role of Joan Jett, with Dakota playing Cherie Currie.

I wonder who the other girls in the photos are? I don't know much about the girls playing Sandy West and Lita Ford, but could it be them?

Looking bad ass ladies. There has been much chatter on the blogs regarding these casting choices as many seem unable to look past Kristen's role in Twilight and Dakota's good girl image They are of the opinion that neither are hard core enough to portray these icons of female rock'n'roll. I don't know about that, but I do know that they are both damn fine actresses and I am looking forward to this movie a bunch.. I wonder if they will do their own singing?


Okay, so that is is for tonight. My computer is a piece of crap and keeps crashing and generally being difficult. Ugh. Oh and have I mentioned, 2 more days of work until vacation (or should I say, my staycation as I can't afford to go anywhere).

Tomorrow I am hitting up Costco after work which should be very exciting and fun. Have I mentioned I have no life?
