David Bekham has found God? Or is a God?

So apparently David Bekham showed off a new tattoo of Jesus at a soccer game yesterday. I can't confirm or deny this.... I was pretty much totally distracted by his shirtlessness. Again I say... Hello Salty Goodness.....This man deserves awards for the Salty Goodness he exudes. As long as Becks doesn't speak (his girly voice pretty much kills the quiver) I am good. What I have planned for him doesn't really require words.....

On and for some unknown reason he also found it necessary to change his pants on the field. Don't question why. Just enjoy it. I know I am...... Sigh.

New Moon Premier

Have your ears stopped ringing yet? Mine haven't and I live thousands of kilometres away from Hollyweird. Monday night was the much anticipated official World Premiere of The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Twi-hards came from far and wide, camping for days all to catch a glimpse of the cast. Summit also streamed the entire premiere through MySpace. Insanity. The three leads all arrived separately and I do not recall seeing any photos of Rob and Kristen together. No desire to feed the incessant and all encompassing rumour mill about the status of their relationship. Smart kids. Or should I say, smart Summit.

Kristen seems to have lost some of her edge for the premier. The dress is actually pretty enough, her hair and make up are spot on. She does look beautiful. But she doesn't look like Kristen Stewart. No real edge. Nothing of the rad cool chick that doesn't give a shit about what she wears or what you think about what she is wearing.
It actually looks like something you would wear to a friend's Debutante Ball. I know you may find this shocking and even a little bit amazing, but this cynical bitch was presented to society when she was a wee young thing. It was through my Church (another shock I know). Do not judge me. We all did it. It was an excuse to get dressed up and party. They put wine on all of our tables. We were 16 years old. Whatever, I don't have to explain myself to you. It was quite the memorable night - from the teeny tiny bit I can recall and what friends filled in for me later. I didn't get along with my partner, my hair looked like complete ass after about an hour (stupid cheap hair dresser), on the way to the afterparty I had to sit in the front seat of the limo next to the driver as the back was full, At the afterparty - which was at the house of someone I wasn't really friends with, I managed to get into a screaming match with my best friends, and then I proceeded to puke *all* over the bathroom. Classy classy classy. Oh and my wonderful mother still has a picture of me in my f*cking white satin & lace sweetheart neck lined dress on display in her living room. Thanks mom!

Anyways, that is the vibe Kristen's dress was giving me. Debutante Ball at Camberwell City Hall. She could do so much better. All of her red carpet outfits thus far have been impeccable. Even on Conan earlier that day, she looked like herself. Messy hair, a hand drawn tatoo on her wrist (mocking those idiot who have twilight tatoo's perhaps?), cool dress. But Oscar de La Renta gown was not Kristen to me. Even she didn't look comfortable in it and she apparently changed into jeans and a t-shirt as soon as the photog line was done. The man of the hour - Robert Pattinson - finally heard all of our pleas and threw on a suit. Still wish he had shaved, but I will take what I can get. Taylor blinded everyone with his smile and I am sure that he continued his tradition of over enunciating every word. I appreciate good diction as much as the next slightly neurotic person, but come on........

Big ups to Dakota Fanning and Anna Kendrick. Best dressed of the night for me. Loved Dakota's entire look. Age appropriate (ehm... Miley Cyrus you should be studying this young girl to see how to transition from child to actual star in Hollyweird). Her shoes were dope. For Anna Kendrick, the New Moon premiere is probably pretty low key for her. I mean this is a girl who very shortly will be walking the carpet for Up in the Air with George mother-f*cking Clooney and Jason fricking Bateman. That one shouldered black sparkly number... super hot. Hair - awesome. Make-up & styling - flawless. Loved it. Honorable mentions to Jackson Rathbone and Nikki Reed.

Ashley Greene appeared to be going for the Miss Teen "Milking my 15 minutes for as much as I can" look. Hated her dress. Dull. Just because it is red and slinky does not make it right. It was a bad prom dress. The hair was also bad bad bad. And I don't get it. Ashley is stunning. Such a pretty face! And her body is sick. She has the potential to look amazing. Sadly, Ms Greene always looks like she is trying so hard to be the Belle(a) of the Ball. Something she is not. And will never be. But, ya know what? Props to Ashley Greene. Out of all of the second string Twilight cast, Ashley is working the hardest to make this last. Apparently she has been working pretty steadily on no less than 4 projects since the start of Twilight... strange that the only press I have seen about her is whe n she was making out with Chase Crawford and/or the opening or celebration of anything she is invited to.

And what is there to say about Stephanie Meyer. That dress pretty much defies description. Too tight. Ugly. Completely wrong for anyone to be seen in public in. I am sorry. But the woman has more money than she can spend in a lifetime and this is the best she can come up with? I know she is an author not an actress, but she is a celebrity. Girlfriend needs a stylist...stat. Maybe one of her fans designed it and sent it to her? Ha!

Mark your Calendars: November 20th = Quiver Overload

In spite of the many posts on this here wee blog fawning over all things Twilight Saga related (& the self-imposed round of self-loathing for said fawning), this is not a post about Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart or the movie. That is the next post. Ha!

It is just a happy coincidence that on the same day that The Twilight Saga: New Moon is released to the crazy masses, we get our first glimpse of James Franco on General Hospital. Sigh. The speculation about why James - an actor that is universally acknowledged does not *need* to lower himself to be on a Soap - has not abated since the announcement came out a month or so ago. There has been no official word from anyone in Franco's camp and the powers that be from ABC are also keeping relatively quiet.

James began filming his 2 month arc at the end of last month, and a few photos have made their way to the interwebs. The whole "Franco" sign is kinda silly and I hope doesn't irritate me to much. But I am already kinda happy to see he is in at least one scene with mob-boss Sonny Corenthos (Maurice Bernard). James looks decidedly soapstud like in these pictures no? Soapstud, with just a hint of the crazy. Hello salty goodness!

The speculation has begun as to who he will be playing, and more importantly whether the dreamed for hawt off between him and Steve Burton will actually take place. I would settle for a Franco-Jackson hawt off as well. Jonathan Jackson has just returned to GH as Lucky Spencer - a role he originated many many years ago. I had forgot exactly how adorable he was. Love him. Glad he is back.

As to deducing from a few photo's the entire storyline for Jame's "mystery" character, my only assumption is that the faceless mystery dude currently obsessed with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will turn out to be Franco. Nice touch GH, having American Idol superstar Adam Lambert's Mad World as this mystery nemesis' theme song.

I am very much looking forward to November 20th. James Franco in the morning and a nice dose of Edward Cullen in the afternoon......New Moon matinee. Already have my tickets. Do not judge me. I don't know if my loins will be able to handle it.

Stars: Just like us?

I'm back Ya'll. More on the vacay later. This little thing could not wait.
Miserable day here in Vancity. I walk to and from work and on rainy days I cut through some underground buildings and pathways, through the skytrain station and avoid the outside as much as I can.

As I was walking through the skytrain station this guy walked past me to one of the ticket machines. Red plaid lumberjack shirt, grotty jeans and Blundstone boots. Firmly attached to his cell phone. Kinda scruffy looking, but cute as hell. He looked exactly like Joshua Jackson, but there was no way right? Joshua Jackson, star of Fox TV's Fringe, riding the skytrain like a regular person? No chance!

But my not at all sneaky double-take confirmed that yes, it was him. So dreamy and rugged. And so like a normal person. No car and driver for him. No fancy ostentatious car (although he prolly has one). Just a guy fumbling for change while buying a ticket for the skytrain.

This makes my crush on him get even bigger! Do you think Ryan Reynolds would ride the skytrain? Pfft! No way.
Joshua Jackson, big ups to you!

Look out Jason Morgan! Here comes James Franco?!?!

Most actors use Soap Operas as a jumping point for their careers. In fact, some of the most well known celebrities on the planet got their starts on Soaps: Meg Ryan (As The World Turns), Demi Moore (General Hospital), Ricky Martin (General Hospital), Kathleen Turner (The Doctors), David Hasselhoff (The Young & The Restless), Robin Wright Penn (?)(Santa Barbara), Teri Hatcher (Capital), Christopher Reeve (Love of Life), Kevin Bacon (Search for Tomorrow & Guiding Light), Ray Liotta (Another World), Kelsey Grammer (Another World), Marissa Tomei (As The World Turns), Tommy Lee Jones (One Life To Live), James Earl Jones (As The World Turns & Guiding Light), Cicely Tyson (Guiding Light), Larry Hagman (Search For Tomorrow), Susan Sarandon (A World Apart & Search for Tomorrow) to name a few.

News broke to day that Golden Globe Winner James Franco will be joining my favourite soap - General Hospital - for a two month arc starting in November (conveniently just in time for sweeps). There is no official word yet on the character he will be playing, but rumour is he will will be playing yet another nemesis for mobster with a heart of gold Jason Morgan (played by Steve Burton). I kinda hoped he would have scenes with the awesome Luke Spencer (played by Emmy Award winner Tony Geary. Especially 'cause Luke was just hit over the head by a mysterious stranger after being informed by the evil Helena Cassadine that there was danger in store for both the Spencer and Cassadine families....Yes, I have too much time on my hands.

There has been no official statement from Franco as to why he is returning to the small screen. He got his start on the underrated Judd Apatow show "Freaks & Geeks", but gained fame from his roles in the Spiderman movies, Pineapple Express and last years amazing Milk . There is quite a bit of shock and awe amongst the interweb folks, and I can't say Ii am surprised. I am sure that they threw gobs of money at him, but does he really need the cash? He has at least 4 films coming out next year so I am assuming he is not broke?

I guess this is not that different than Marcia Gay Harden on Damages right? Or John Lithgow on Damages? Or Heather Locklear on Melrose Place? Am I grasping here? Or does this sound at all possible? I know there is a total stigma associated with Soaps. But they are no different from shows like Desperate Housewives or 90210 right? Oh who am kidding, I don't get it. I have no problem with it, I am just finding it a little perplexing. Puzzling even. Maybe even a tad peculiar.

Maybe he has a secret love for Port Charles and General Hospital? That would be awesome and completely make me feel like less of a loser for watching it also.... he he he. What I am really hoping for is a Steve Burton - James Franco hawt off. Shirtless. Steve has the impressive muscles, but James Franco is quite the stud muffin. Decisions decisions. I wonder if there will be a little Jason - Sam - mystery James Franco character triangle action? Has there ever been a threesome on a soap? This would be quite the trio to break that story line in.......

On a related and equally awesome General Hospital note, Jonathan Jackson is returning as Lucky Spencer a role he originated 16 years ago. Sadly that means that the hawt Greg Vaughn is leaving. Now, I understand that recasting sometimes has to happen. But when they recast Lucky, I was honestly a little pissed. He was such an important part of the show and his relationship and chemistry with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) was amazing and impossible to recreate with any other actor. He also won no less than 3 Daytime Emmy's for this role over the years.

Here is a clip of the original Lucky and Elizabeth. I am not sure how the Powers at GH are going to deal with the whole Elizabeth is sleeping with Lucky's half-brother situation..... While "Elizabeth" may no longer be in love (but still loves) Greg Vaughn as Lucky, how in the hell are they gonna keep the original Lucky and Liz apart?

November is gonna be a very good month in Port Charles!!

LSU! LSU! LSU!

Last weekend at Bumbershoot, I had only minimal Internet access. No computer = I-phone interweb access only. Free in the hotel lobby, and occasional sketchy free wi-fi on the Seattle Center grounds.

Between you and me, I was a little scared of the lobby of the hotel. Lots of Purple and Yellow LSU fans. LSU = Louisiana State University. In town for a football match with.... I actually don't know who. Hmmm Washington State? Something about Tigers maybe. Whatever. The point is, these people flew across the country to watch a college Football game. Am I strange that I am completely baffled by this? It is not just my lack of a penis - many chicks were there in full rah rah rah go team mode as well. Maybe it was because I did not spend any time at university caring about sports.... I don't even know if we had any sport teams at my school....
And it wasn't even the play-offs. It was like the opening weekend or something. I just do not understand this mentality. For what looked like regular folks, to get on a plane for a sporting event is totally beyond my comprehension. But more power to them I guess!!

Anyways, in anticipation of no Internet for almost 4 days, I set up my twitter to text me when specific accounts sent out a tweet. One of course, was my gossip goddess - Lainey Gossip. When she announced that she had exclusive details on who Alexander Skarsgard was dating, I knew it was Evan Rachel Wood. Don't ask me how, but I totally knew it. I turned to Melissa and Emma and said that I would literally pee my pants if it was Evan Rachel Wood. What I wanted to say was instant orgasm, but I thought that was a bit much.........

Because...... seriously. Holy f*ck. Amazingness.

Not only has she apparently been down to Louisiana where Alex is filming Straw Dogs, but there are also a number of pics of them out for dinner in LA. Yes, this could simply be two friends who work together going out for dinner, but I much prefer the image I have of them. Rushing back to his or her place because they can barely contain themselves. Stopping only to pick up some candles and handcuffs. And you know the candles are not for mood lighting.

Because their escapades would most definitely not involve mood lighting and romantic music. There would be props and toys and maybe even a few third parties involved. And it would hurt just enough to be amazing. Sigh.... I feel another orgasm building.......This relationship news makes me so happy and content in more than just a post coital bliss kind of way.

Season finale of True Blood is on Sunday. Then we have to wait until June of next year for new episodes. Balls. And I know that I will have to erase the episodes from my PVR at some point. Balls again.

There was a nasty horrible rumour going around on the interwebs that Eric was going to be killed off on the season finale. That had better be nothing more than a nasty horrible rumour. If they kill off Eric to allow Bland Bill and Sookie to continue their vanilla relationship, I am gonna be pissed. Pissed and bitter. An Alex-Evan sex tape may be the only thing to pacify my pissy bitterness.

New York Quiveration

I am heading to the East Coast in October. 5 days in Boston catching up with my friend Kazza (also known as Karin) and then 5 days in New York. I am super excited, cause I love New York. I was there for 12 days around this time last year, and I couldn't get enough of it....... the theatre, the shopping, the busy of the city was amazingness to me.

Last time I was there I saw 6 shows on Broadway - RENT (3rd last show on Broadway), Wicked, Legally Blonde, Xanadu, Spring Awakening and Spamalot. Payed full price only for Rent and Wicked - the rest were half price through the TKTS booth. I also saw the Dave Matthews Band at Madison Square Garden. Yea, I did NYC well.......and am still paying it off. eek!

So while I am there this time around, I am super lucky that there will be some outstanding theatre available to me. Nosebleeds seats all around, but I do not care.
First off I will be seeing Jude Law in Hamlet. He has been on the West End in London with this for a while and has been getting rave reviews. I love Shakespeare and Hamlet is definitely one of my faves. I studied it in school and it was one of the plays that I totally "got" ya know? I could immerse myself in it and read it over and over and over again and find new ways to look at scenes. And now I will be seeing Jude Law as Hamlet in NYC! Holy Mother F*cker! Hells yes!
I am also insanely excited that I will be there during the 12 week run of Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig in "A Steady Rain". You may have to pick me up off of the floor - because, sigh. This is a 90 minute 2 man play that sadly doesn't involve any nudity or even making out by the 2 leads. Damn it. Instead it is about 2 Chicago cops who have very differing accounts of a call they answer. It sounds very dark and twisty and I cannot wait!

Here is the first publicity shot released for the A Steady Rain, which apparently just started rehearsals. Gotta say, I am not sure if I am digging Craig's Porn stache, but whatevs! This is gonna be amazingness. I am in the total nosebleeds, but I don't care. To see these 2 on stage is going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity! The only thing that would make it better is the aforementioned nudity and/or Hugh Jackman-Daniel Craig make out session.

I am not sure if my loins will be able to handle the quiver in October. I may actually experience an explosion in the loin area due to the quiver.

Eric >>>>>>>Bill

Okay, I haven't talked about True Blood much in the last little bit. No time for recaps in my busy life. But holy mother. Did you watch on Sunday? Oh Eric. How could there be any discussion. Sookie needs to dump the bland and go with the dirrty. Cause Eric is amazing.

Every scene he was in on this episode was amazing. Tricking Sookie into sucking the silver out and then way he had his arms casually folded under his head and that smirk on his face when he was looking down at her while she did it? Sigh.

Then the dream scene. Oy vey. I can't even type the hawtness of this. And at the end when Godric commits vampire suicide and Eric is so broken about it. Amazing.

Sookie needs to wake the f*ck up and go with the badness of Eric. Cause that level of badness would be so f*cking amazing.

And don't forget only one more episode until Evan Rachel Wood makes her appearance as the Vampire Queen Sophie Ann. Want a bet she is the one who takes down that crazy bitch Maryanne?

Here is the incredible Evan in the pages of September's Flaunt Magazine. She has legs to die for. Sigh.

Holy Hawtness of Ryan Gosling

Oh Ryan Gosling, how do I heart thee...... Not quite sure what it is about this 28 year old good Canadian boy. Maybe it is the fact he is not an ass to fans (Ryan Reynolds, I am talking to you), or that he is incredibly talented, or that he rides a motorcycle and is in a band. Or maybe it is a simple as that kiss in The Notebook (or more correctly the acceptance of best kiss at the MTV awards)....... le sigh. In case you had forgotten it, here it is for your viewing pleasure......

So amazing right? When he beckons her? And kisses her forehead? Sigh. Why oh why can't he and Rachel work it out? They are so adorable together.

Sorry, lost track of myself for a second.

Here are a few snaps of the uber-hawt Ryan this week at The Silverlake Conservatory of Music in LA. He has an album coming out in October with his band Dead Man's Bones. I am undecided on whether I like his sound. I will have to give it another listen. He was in the Mickey Mouse Club with JT, Britney and Christina, so maybe he doesn't totally suck?

Oh Ryan, you make me quiver and swoon.....

True Blood v's The Vampire Diaries

I know that there is really no contest. True Blood totally kicks The Vampire Diaries PG rated, pre-pubescent arse. But, very sadly, True Blood cannot continue through the fall so I will need to get my vamp fix somewhere. Will the CW's True Blood lite get me through the long dark winter (or at least until November when New Moon hits the big screen) or will I be stuck with Buffy re-runs again?

From these latest promo pictures, the CW is clearly trying to amp up the dirrty side of this show. It is no Bill Compton crawling out of the dirt and banging Sookie Stackhouse in the graveyard (sigh), but it is a start. Who could say no to the very hawt Iam Somerhalder licking their neck......I have not read the books on which this show is based. All I know is that the lead is supposed to be blond, and that there is a battle for her soul between the "good" and "bad" vampire brothers..... Hmph.. I will give it a shot. Here is the 5 minute promo from the CW Upfronts earlier this year. Again I say Hmph. We shall see.

More importantly however, here are the first shots I have seen of Evan Rachel Wood as Queen Sophie-Ann, a character described by series creator Alan Ball as someone “nobody’s ever entirely happy to see. She’s very powerful, capricious and most likely insane.” Her first episode will air on August 30th. I cannot fricking wait. True Blood is getting better and better each episode this season. Love love love it!

PS: I just found out that the amazing Michael Emerson (Benjamin Linus on Lost) is married to Carrie Preston, who plays waitress Arlene in True Blood. It is a small, talent filled world!

Gratuitous Hawt R-Pattz shots

I must confess that I am loving the photos out of NYC with Rob looking all battered and bruised. Maybe it is the desire to nurse him back to health? Tend to his wounds? Blow gently on his...... wounds. Okay, a little off topic. And completely not relevant to this post. Just saying, extreme quiveration.

Anyways, I am shocked that the release of 40 new outtakes from US Weekly didn't cause the interweb to crash. I am not even one of the crazy twihards and I was a little distracted by these photos. I tried to narrow this down to a few pictures, but as I kept looking I couldn't pick only a few. I am sure no-one will mind. He is rather dreamy in this fabulously styled shoot.

I miss River Phoenix. And James Dean.
