Cop Convicted in SJP Surrogate Theft - yes, a Cop!

Since the birth in late June, and the release of one family photo a week later, we have seen very little of Marion & Tabitha Broderick - twin daughters of Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, born via a surrogate. The family have kept a very low profile, which is pretty surprising considering Sarah has been hard at work filming the Sex & The City 2 sequel for the past few months. Good for them! Although, if I am honest with ya'll I would secretly really like to see a new batch of photos of these budding fashionista's.

The family was back in the press late yesterday with news out of Ohio of a conviction in the theft case surrounding the surrogate mother of the girls. Police Chief (yes, Police Chief) Barry Carpenter was found guilty of three of the six charges he was accused of - receiving stolen property, tampering with evidence and theft in office.

Apparently Police Chief Barry Carpenter, along with Police Chief Chad Dojack - who goes on trial in January - met with "freelance photographers" offering ultrasound pictures, photos, legal documents about the surrogacy agreement and other items. By "freelance photographers" I am assuming they mean paparazzi..... How heinous is that? Carpenter claims that the conversations with the photographers were a joke, and that he only entered the house of Ross when he noticed a door ajar. BULLS*IT.

Holy mother f*ckers. Is anyone else totally and completely creeped out by this whole situation. I know that not all police are exactly ethical - or moral for that matter (a vast majority are I am sure), this is just beyond horrible. To break into a pregnant woman's house and steal ultrasound images that you are planning on selling to the highest bidder? This just makes me cringe. It would be horrible if a regular dirtbag did it, but for someone whose job it is to uphold and enforce the law? Asshole. Special place in hell for people like this.

There are no words for what I hope happens to this guy in prison. But let me just say that I hope his cellmate wanted to "Save Ferris" at some point in his life.

Hell has Frozen Over

Possible spoiler for any Sex & The City Fans.......Did you ever think you would live to see the day that Ms Samantha Jones would be wearing a wedding dress? And would you really want to? I love that Samantha is totally not the marrying kind. These pictures from the set on Friday make me even more concerned about the direction that the SATC 2 movie is taking. Sigh. Maybe it is another flashback. Perhaps the reason Samantha is so liberated with her sexuality is because she once had a very short crappy marriage? Or was she left at the altar. That would make anyone have sex like a man....... with no feelings attached. I don't know, and I don't think we will know until the movie comes out next year.

I have also attached some pics of the ever fabulous Sarah Jessica Parker, both on set and not. I love both of the dresses in these shots, particularly the green one on the top right. So pretty.

Plot details of SATC 2 revealed?

A few weeks ago, I posed the question, Where's Charlotte? Kristen Davis had not been spotted on the set of the Sex & The City 2 movie and although I know they would never make the film without one of the 4 leading ladies, this is Hollyweird, albeit NYC Hollyweird, but Hollyweird none the less.

I can breathe a little easier now as photos have surfaced of Kristen on the NYC set. To that I say a resounding yay! I love Charlotte and her uptight Upper East Side ways. While the script and plot of this much anticipated movie are a closely guarded secret, details are slowly emerging....

US Weekly, on stands now apparently has details of the plot of the new movie, as revealed by "insiders" on set. According to the magazine, Big is hit by the recession, moves to London, and cheats on Carrie. In a shocking twist (ha!) this is when Carrie discovers she is knocked up. Yawn. That is not really shocking at all. Gah! I honestly wish they had left it all alone.

Oh, and hilarity will ensue with Charlotte having to deal with 2 children (and doesn't she have like 10 dogs?), while Samantha has to deal with her hawt ex - Smith Jarrett and Miranda makes a "surprising" career choice. These details sound suspiciously like grasping at anything to make a plot if you ask me!

I am still not enjoying the probable 80's flashbacks that we will be subjected to. Flashbacks are what you do when you have run out of original ideas. If this ensemble of Kim Cattrall's is any indication, maybe Tommy Lee or Gene Simmons will be making a cameo as Samantha goes through her groupie phase. It must be said that the dirtiness of Tommy Lee or the sleaze of Gene would be a million times better than the Christian trampiness of Ms Miley Cyrus. Rumour has it she is still set to film a cameo in October sometime. Ugh. Knowing my luck, she is who I will see while in NYC.....

I will go and see this film. No question about it. I may even go opening night. I loved the show and grew to tolerate & even like the first movie. Darren Star is a very good writer and I am quietly hopeful that he will not totally fu*k this up. Whatever, even if it sucks balls, I can stare at all the amazing and phenomenal clothes, shoes and bags and go to my happy place for a few hours. Shoes and bags are my crack. I was very proud of myself last week when I only bought 3 pairs of shoes while in Seattle......

PS: Love both of these dresses on Carrie. And I have sat on that very stoop!

Where's Charlotte?

I see Carrie, Samantha and Miranda..... but where oh where is Charlotte - the WASP, turned Jewish wife, turned mother to an adopted Chinese baby? Where is she? Out of all the characters on SATC, Charlotte York made me laugh the most. I loved Kristen Davis in that role. She was amazing. Her eternal search for a husband. Her joy at finding her knight in shining armour in Trey McDougall. Her dogged determination that in spite of all the evidence to the contrary (cough... limp dick....cough), her marriage would work. Her belief in love and that she and all her friends would find their soulmates. Her clothes and shoes (and the shoe fetish guy). All the toads she had to f*ck to get to Harry. The amazing wonderful Harry. All of it. Loved her.

In the movie when she yells at Big on the wedding day that wasn't...... kills me. The look in her eyes. Crushes me every time I watch it. That is hands down my absolute favourite scene in the whole movie. Hated the whole "poughkeepsie in her pants" bullsh*t though. Cheap and simply going for the laugh, something SATC had never really done before. I also wish her adorable Chinese daughter had spoken in the film. Did she say a word? Maybe in the new one she will get a line or two?

Anyways, Kim Cattrell and Cynthia Nixon filmed their first scenes on the streets of NYC today. And there are also a few shots of SJP from yesterday where she seems to be in total 80's garb. I am thinking.....flashback. How the girls met? How they became friends? Cause where the f*ck else is this movie gonna go? Ugh. I am going to try and be positive and give Darren Star the benefit of the doubt, but I am frankly a little worried........

We shall see my friends..... we shall see. I wonder if they will still be filming when I am there in October? Oohhhh that would be so beyond awesome and amazing.

Carrie Bradshaw is back!

And we barely had a chance to miss her.

Capitalising on the success of last years smash hit, production began today in NYC for Sex & The City 2.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth were snapped on the streets of New York, reprising their roles as the fabulous Carrie Bradshaw and her new husband, the dreamy Mr Big. Apparently the rest of the girls have not began filming yet. Love Carries outfit. Her hands are kinda scary though...... I don't wanna say Madonna like, but if the wrinkly old man hands fit??

Now, I love me some SATC. I truly truly do. I have all six seasons on DVD, I did the bus tour when I was in NYC last year, half of my photos from that trip have a relationship to the show, I even snuck under the chain at "the" stoop and snuck a photo.

But I gotta say, I kinda loved how Season 6 ended. When the movie came out, I grudgingly jumped on the bandwagon, and got on board with that as well. I grew to like how it ended. Now, Darren Star, again? I have to swallow whatever story you have dreamed up to continue the story of these four friends...... Third time had better be a f*cking charm. This story and script had better not suck balls. That's all I am saying.

I think I am putting you on notice Darren Star. Don't f*ck this up my friend. Please don't f*ck this up.
